I would point out that these two shots are from two significantly different heights.
The top shot is taken with the camera low looking up at Biden's head.
The bottom shot is then from above the crowd looking down.
The exposures are very different.
Spend just a small amount of time working a camera and you know this. Truth gets downvotes. Upvoted you because you're right.
Agreed. I think the two posts above missed the whole point.
Different angles change perspective. The people didn't disappear, they are obscured. And yes I've done photography for a couple decades. Professionally and as hobby. Sorry if it burst your bubble but truth is important.

I've only seen the c-span feed. That's insane if true. I thought it was just lackluster all around. Did they really stitch together something different for the "official channels"?
Where did you get these? The top one looks crisp and sharp to me, but the audience in the background is hazy in the bottom pic. Looks like they may have been photoshopped in.
Nancy wore either an ivory color or one described it as a light blue in 2017, but definitely not the same dress she's seen in this pic.
That's interesting because when they make a movie, there are people whose job it is to make sure discontinuities like that don't happen. Almost looks like they don't much care.

I don't see what is odd here... If I was to venture a guess its that you think that the people are different behind them? Well, If the camera viewing them was a good distance from them and they (Biden&Jill) are the central focus then the people in the "immediate vicinity" of them would stay in the shot while the people in the background would change dramatically based on the location of the viewing camera.
I've been going back and forth with this because camera angles can be deceiving.
I found an article, that if you scroll up and down the left side of the page, it will point out where all the notable people were sitting/standing during, what I can only assume, is the swearing in portion of the inauguration. The picture is of Biden with his hand up and Pelosi is at least 20ft behind Biden and turtle Bitch is a few feet in front of her. Both nowhere near standing behind Biden.

I found a video of the swearing in ceremony and it shows Pelosi directly behind Jill and turtle Bitch a handful of feet behind Biden. They are both closely behind Biden from the time he raises his hand to the time he lowers it. The entire portion of the swearing in ceremony with his hand held up was approximately 33 seconds.
I didn't watch the inauguration, was there another time at which he has his left hand raised and right hand on his bible? That, in my opinion, would be the only explanation of this.

The screen caps are not even at the same time, you can tell from their faces. So why even compare?

Not going to make any claims re OP, though i have my suspicions...
Well, I can understand any suspicions anyone might have given the current political climate. I'm mostly a lurker and trying to abstain from making bold claims one way or the other. Still, peculiarities exist, and IMO it's ok to point them out.
