The White House lights always turn off at around 11 pm. I watched it the entire week before inauguration and looked it up. This is normal.
The Washington Monument only being half lit IS weird.
If people live and work there the whole place should not be shrouded in darkness at 11 sharp every single night, if at all
I was talking about the outside lights. People have been freaking out almost every night on here that the outside lights are off. I was just pointing out that this is normal. The outside lights that light up the White House go off every night around 11 pm.
I'm unsure about the inside lights. I don't know if drapes are drawn shut. I'm not sure where living quarters are located. Are they visible from the street? I don't remember seeing any inside lights the week before inauguration. It's possible no one is there. I'm not discounting that. I'm just trying to make sure people don't read too much into something that is normal.

I don’t think it’s anything significant. From what I could see the streetlights in front are still on and there was a light in the bottom level right side of the building itself. Live stream did just go down for me a second ago.. idk if that’s on my end though or theirs
They turn the White House lights off at 11 pm every night. This was quite the disappointment wheni walked almost 4 miles to see it and I couldnt because the lights were off. I asked a secret service agent why the lights were off and he told me 11 pm every night they shut them off. That may have just been for Trump too, hard saying. I would think the prez would have some say seeing as how its his house.
I'm waiting for someone to fall on the "Banana peel"... It's dark in there.
