Currently 3 E-6B Mercury in the air, 3 E3C Sentry's, an E-6B Mercury, and an E-8C JSTAR all over the USA. May be nothing but it's interesting none the less.

During training exercises, it is normal to have an E-6 up as part of the training for each base.
As I was watching the types of planes that were up it started to become pretty obvious there was a good deal of training going on, specifically over by White Sands.
One thing that I have found interesting are the flights were there is a T-38 paired up with an unidentified fighter instead of another T-38. Sometimes the unified fighter stops squawking.
I never paid attention to aircraft like I do these days so I couldn't say if it's routine or otherwise. Also, dig this. Theres a good number of Beech Hurons up there doing more than hauling people around. Although this one I would guess may be a training flight, Hunter Army Airfield right there and his track.
