I've been buying silver the past few months so not an expert but I'll chime in. If you're strictly in it for accumulating silver vs. collecting different coins or pieces, in my opinion, you'll want to buy generic rounds or bars. The coins have a higher premium. Look at the Spot price and try to get the most physical silver for the lowest overall price. I usually buy 1 oz. silver rounds, but often larger rounds and bars will be cheaper per oz. Some of the the best deals I've found are at SD Bullion and Money Metals.com. Look at their deals too. They will lower the price on overstocked items sometimes. If you pay with a check or e-check, it's cheaper than using a credit card or Paypal. Also, try to meet the minimum purchase to take advantage of free shipping. I found a lot of info on investing in silver at reddit on R/Silverbugs. Have fun!
It's just purely the metal, not bothered about collectables because when the shiz hits the fan 1oz will be worth 1oz regardless of fancy design. Would rather get .999 or .9999 tho. Prices are already up on ebay etc.
Yes, the price is up the past few days! I want to buy more but hope it comes down for that reason! haha. The price will fluctuate minute by minute so watch that when you're shopping. Jump in! It's fun to start collecting it. Here's another good site to find resources. https://findbullionprices.com/closest-to-spot/

No. 100 grams = 3.527 oz. You would be paying $33.17 per ounce.
