Donald Trump would have left the Washington swamp people alarmed and depressed rather than jubilant and confident had he forcefully promised to run again for president.

“We will be back in some form,” did not cut it.

What the author is mad about is that he wants to know what Trump is planning. I haven't seen any swamp monsters that are jubilant and confident. Have you?

Because the thing that makes Trump a good leader, and a thorn in their side is that he is unpredictable. Why would you tell your enemies what you plan to do and give them 4 years to plot against you?
