My kid (25) voted for Qidan. I respected his right to choose. Then he bought GME after following “DeepFuckingValue” on Reddit. He panicked when it dipped and sold 90 of his 100 shares and (only) doubled his investment in a month. He was bummed. He was angered when the powers that be stopped people from buying. First we talked about protecting your capital is the #1 rule. Then we talked about the forces at work and the battle for hearts and minds. He took a few red pills. I explained my red pill was 911. Who bought millions of dollars in puts on the airline stocks the week before? They made billions! Plus the free falling twin towers not to mention the 3rd building (hardened for a nuclear strike) going down several days later. I lost friends over that. They could not stomach the red pill. I asked him if he saw the irony in someone named DeepFuckingValue buying a junk company like GME. The only deep value is knowing a huge short squeeze is coming. Then, I really baked his noodle when I asked him, “who do you threw the billions at GME to force that short squeeze?” That was a killer whale taking out the apex predator sharks (hedge funds). Do the math. No way millions of little guys outgunned the hedge funds. He said wow Dad that’s a lot to think about. Then he said, do you always notice stuff like this? I said, my job is to leave the world a better place then I found it for you and all those I love. So yes, I do.

Honestly, you have it all wrong.
It's one thing to say you don't want anything to do with this system, it's another to talk like you know ANYTHING about how it works or is working.
505 upvotes about some father pontificating, trying to shoehorn 911 into the current situation because it makes you feel good. Sigh...
This goes WAY DEEPER than a short squeeze. And has nothing to do with 911.
You think too small and that's what (((They)) have preyed upon.
Millions of people DID all move as one and ARE acting as one by holding their shares and not selling them.
The little guy HAS WON. The little guy has the cards to WIN EVEN MORE. The little guy has caught the ENTIRE SYTEM in a situation of UNLIMITED LIABILTY.
Don't misdirect your anger towards dudes like DeepFuckingValue, the Retail investor who is playing a rigged system. The guy has been sharing this information since March of 2019. He was laughed at by everyone but saw this coming.
HE JUST BANKED 12 MILLION, 34mil still in stock, from a 50,000k investment and TOLD people it was going to happen along the way.
But...do you understand what is happening? This isn't about DeepFuckingValue or his money. This is about the process Hedge Funds are following to make money.
Shares are being created out of thin air. Not legal.
They are being naked short sold. Not legal.
These Hedge Funds drive businesses to bankruptcy by using fake shares, shorting them and using the media to spread a negative narrative. Not legal.
They are forcing brokers to limit buys of the stock to decrease the gain in stock price from the demand, in order to reduce their liability. Not legal.
The are using low volume ladder shorts to buy each others contract to drive the prices down. They tried this 3 consecutive days last week. Not legal.
There are many, many legit people out there that KNOW first hand this is how the GAME is played. Look at Elon Musk and Tesla. That company was almost shorted to bankruptcy.
Retail Investors along with wealthy, legit businessmen are using a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to stick it to the "Bad Guys" and perhaps get the system changed to level the playing field. This may destroy the entire system, there really is no precedent for this as no one has ever been this cavalier about cheating the system.
Also......
GME is not a junk company either!
I'm not going to waste my time proving what others have but you have no idea what you're talking about. GME is legit and once you understand what these Hedge funds do, you'll see their game.
Now, obviously the stock price doesn't reflect the true value but a company's stock is not dictated by that. The share price is completely dependent on what someone else will pay for it. In this case, the Retail investors can basically name a price if they hold their shares long enough to take down the Hedge Funds and those who back them.
I understand. By George, so does someone else!
