Yes, evil will make a person step back and take a cold hard look at themselves and what is going on around them. I for one know that God exists because he has shown me what he can do. I have several testimonies that I know God performed these miracles to prove to me that he is in my life and will remain there. My biggest testimony will send cold chills "the anointing" down your spine.
