The NWO expects you to continue the "tradition" when you become rich and powerful. MJ took in many kids not to abuse them but to shield them. The NWO thinks he's doing the thing they want him to do and he gets to protect as many kids as he can.
I think MJ was getting close to exposing them so they had him killed.

I did not know what I was seeing at the time, just that it was so fascinating and notable how they kept talking about it. But I'm sure now that it was them setting the narrative for the masses and hoping you forget about everything that was said by these same people years before.
