It is an American Airlines Airbus A321-231. Took off from Miami and landed in Santo Domingo (SDQ/MDSD) a few minutes ago. Did not see anything unusual.

Most pressurized aircraft fly between 30 and 40 thousand feet. It's where most jet turbine engines are designed to operate at peak efficiency.
