Should I buy $10K in gold for security. Should I leave it in bank, should I pull some 401K and buy gold with that? Where would you buy gold from?

I'm not certain you can buy gold bars, but you can get gold coins. My husband buys silver ones. These are legal and come with cases to protect them.
