Presidents routinely meet with CEOs to discuss the economy and future policies. On February 23, 2017, Trump met with the CEOs of General Electric, Merek, Dell, 3m, Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor Co., Johnson and Johnson, Whirlpool, International Paper, Emerson Electric, Harris Corporation, Campbell Soup Co., Caterpiller Inc., Corning, Nucor Corp., US Steel, Verensen Inc., Archer Daniels Midland, Dow Chemical, United Technologies, LiveOps, Atec, General Dynamics, and Dana Inc.

I don't recall people panicking that they were trying to take over the economy...
