He said that when he walked into that room he felt as if he was under oath (like they all are). This was an oh shit moment for me personally because it felt like he was nodding that they (evil house managers) were lying under oath. Just a thought that made me think oh snap.

Yes and I believe that was the point of him randomly mentioning that. To remind them of that. And now he set them up for treason and criminal acts for lying under oath.
