They'd have to find him guilty of insurrection in a court of law, though. Barring him from office via the 14th without so much as a criminal trial finding him guilty is just asking for Trump to challenge it in SCOTUS.
Sure, as punishment for a 2/3rds guilty vote, if they convicted Trump during the trial. Article 1, section 3 clearly states "Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor". In order to disbar via impeachment, the House would have to push yet another article of impeachment, and the Senate convict him on it. After a sucessful 2/3rds conviction, then the Senate may push disbarring via a simple majority.
Otherwise, as the 14th amendment, Section 3 states, "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same". The 14th is automatic disbarment, Congress nor just the Senate can just trigger disbarring from office for the mere accusation of insurrection. Otherwise, what stops the Dems from just claiming every republican had a hand in the 6th, and gain a permanent supermajority in Congress by abusing the 14th?
Trump, for all intents and purposes, need only worry about criminal courts for any future disbarring from office holding.
Do not celebrate yet. 14A will now kick in. Search my posts for the past week or so.

NO. Its a simple up or down vote in SENATE. Wake up.

Because right now Trump is the only target they want, both libtards and GOPe.
I am still not sure what the real end game to this clown show was, and is. They pretty much cancelled all future elections.
And that will go nowhere as well if this plan we believe in here is in fact a reality
