If this were true, wouldn't it be worth crowd-funding a purchase and also notifying police department of the idea (in case it was a sting op)? If it turned out to be real, we'd have recovered a missing kid and collected evidence.

The Wayfair saga began the redpilling process for me. I fully awakened in October of 2020.
The ability to debunk that conspiracy in hours was ridiculous. The sheer mockery that the media made of people assuming that kids are being shipped in cabinets were ridiculous. They never addressed the simplicity and elegance of the money laundering. Rich people spend so much money on terrible art. An expensive fresh or cabinet would be the receipt for the delivery. TREMENDOUS way of blackmail since the name of the child is on the receipt for whoever bought the kid.
It is one of the simplest money laundering schemes EVER. Other locations that could launder money without a real product: eBay, Amazon, Etsy, any online "store"
Agree. I was thinking of the implications of buying a $100 cheap furniture for $10k.. it seems like a good way to launder money.
The crazy thing about all of this is that they even had the nerve to advertise what was available in the product names. It was sickening to read. I don't understand why anyone would want to name furniture after missing kids names.
Last thing to add: is wayfair really a part of it? My understanding is that any third party seller can list what they want to sell (kinda like Amazon).
Gold farmers do this on world of warcraft, say if you buy $10k gold with real money, they tell you to list a random item on the auction house for $10k gold and they go buy it off you.
