Patent attorney-fag here. The last application is a “continuation in part” filed in May 2020. A CIP relies on the earlier application but adds NEW matter, like a reference to Covid-19. I have only skimmed what you posted but I strongly suspect that the earlier applications lacked any reference to Covid. Sorry - it looked like solid gold for a moment.

Yep, you're correct. No mention of COVID-19 in this patent prior to May 2020. Patent families are complex

Don’t beat yourself up. It’s a heartless profession fighting over money for big corporations. I left and became a Plaintiff’s attorney.

So what? You get the priority date for what is disclosed, not the new matter added I later CIPs.
