Its a trick question. The United States of America never was, and God willing never will be, a "true Democracy."

It's not a trick question.

The answer is the House, with 2 year terms.

It is balanced by the Senate, with 6 year terms, being elected by the State legislatures.

Seems like both answers are correct and according to the left the electoral college is a bad thing. Just based on political optics I got this question wrong.
