I for one have noticed an increase of more than 40 cents in my area, and going north about an hour it's about 60 cents higher. Propane has gone up, electricity has gone up, and natural gas has gone up.
Business are being stifled. One of our old propane providers is literally going out of business since they depend on a pipeline that's being shut down (not Keystone XL).
What is going on in your area/state?
Gasoline is about the same here in eastern NC. It's around $2.30 to $2.45, depending on which side of town you're in.
Propane has gone up from $1.95 a gallon on Jan. 1 to $2.15 yesterday.
I don't drive much, so the gasoline price could double without affecting me a lot.
It amazes me that oil can be shipped so far, the refineries cost so much, the gasoline has to be shipped all over the place, and still it's cheaper than milk that gets minimal processing and is mostly sold with 100 miles of where the cows were milked.
Gas can't go very much below $2.00 a gallon because of all the taxes per gallon. So I think the price is okay right now.
not here much in Washington state
