Somewhere on here I read about some of the suspected body doubles around Washington DC scoring in the 80's as a percentage match. That got me thinking - how good should two pictures of the same person be? This article (https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/markets/digital-identity-and-security/government/biometrics/facial-recognition) says current facial recognition come in matching in the high 90's. So those doubles? They probably are.
