Tunnel warfare has been important since before WWII. It's obvious that the military would spend resources on training for it. One of my buddies was a tunnel rat during the Vietnam war. His team had to develop tactics from scratch.
My buddy had a lot of stories. He was always very upbeat and would tell his stories in a jocular mode. He didn't drink very much, but one night he came over to my house totally plastered. He unloaded for hours.
Btw, my buddy could tell if I had eaten Thai, Vietnamese, or Korean food within the last 48 hours. He told me that tunnel rats never used any type of soap or deodorant when they bathed.

I use baking soda and water to bathe
