I ran into issues with Direct TV years ago where they “charged me” for breaking a contract I had fulfilled. My bank refused to reverse the payment because,” they had my authorization, and had been doing it for over a year.” I closed my bank account, and eventually got my money back from Direct TV.
Similar thing happened at my new bank with AT&T years later. I even revoked automatic debits for AT&T at my bank when I changed providers. Again a corporate raped me for charges they claimed they were owed. Threat of lawyer got charge reversed at bank. I still have AT&T on my credit report. I told them I will leave this world before I pay them for charges associated to a contract I didn’t agree too, they had no proof I agreed too, but the credit agencies believe AT&T over me...
Now I only use local credit unions - 2nd PSA - use credit unions.
Another good thing about credit unions is that with direct deposit, they generally credit the funds to your account when they are received, even if it's not the pay date on the draft. My paycheck is always available one day earlier than payday. :D
I have been at a credit union for a few years now. I get my deposit when they get it, I didn’t realize banks do not give you the money instantly. I was at a bank whose name begins with a letter that rhymes with moo, and I learned they applied debits before credits. I ran my account to close to the wire, but I didn’t think I would have gone negative. By applying debits before before credits, and the largest debits first, I had several checks bounce. Policies like this, check into cash loans, payday loans, title loans, etc... all milk money from those who have the least. Now that I know about the DS, the Cabal, and the Central Bank, all focused on bleeding the poor.

BTW, financial institutions all appear to pull that crap.
Too true!
Make sure you schedule payments the day after payday and as long as your spouse hasn’t gone nuts with paper checks or PayPal, you’re good. LOL
Now that I am older, and a little more financially secure, my wife and I keep an extra paycheck in our checking account.
