In the popular post about dan scavinos flag at mar-a-lago the OP did not even choose the flagpole, instead choosing the circular bushes on the North side of the path.

In my image you see two RED arrows which show the roof corner and the white awning to the North of the path in the OPs photo. The line of sight is between these two fixed landmarks.
The flag is the circular mound on the south side as also indicated by the long shadows of the flagpole. Additionally the window is the top window in the tower. It's the only place that fits for the photographer. The height of the photographer is higher than just about everything in the photo and the sides of the photo show the building and the angle at which the room's wall lies to the angle of the photo. I therefore surmise the photo was taken from a corner of the tower.
I took the Google maps north perspective and you can see a black line between the two WHITE arrows. This was then superimposed on a CAD software to get an angle of ~12.5 degrees from due South. Taking a screen cap of Guantanamo and superimposing the same angle, the line never even hits FLA.
Sad to see how that post got so many upvotes from people who didn’t verify this for themselves. This site is mainly an echo chamber of noobs, including the mods who sticky crap like that.
