It's a personal choice. My kids have been and will continue to be on my fb. A pedo could just as easily take photos from a news article, a school paper/newsletter, take photos at a playground, whatever. Our kids don't live in a bubble.
Until you take them to public school and they have to wear a bubble for band class after sex ed class and learning about the drugs you should never use with their prices and street names names. I want my kids to get the non bubble experience too.
Probably live in their bedroom glued to the internet
I have friends who continually post pics of their young pre-teen daughters on FB in scantily clad dance outfits in provocative poses, and then videos of their provocative dance moves. They are living vicariously through their daughters and think it is ok to "display" them on social media. A pet peeve of mine.
You probably would have said that of me as I did the same when my daughter danced competitively (she's now a professional ballet dancer). I wasn't living vicariously through her any more than I was through my baseball playing son though. It was just a huge part of our lives...and I was sharing with friends and family just as they shared their lives with me. That's how we choose to use fb. To each their own (and downvoting a difference of opinion/choice you're a dipshit)
Hopefully you didn't post pics as revealing as those of some of my FB friends. The problem with sharing pics with friends and family on social media is that unless you have the proper privacy settings, more than family and friends see the pics. Predators copy pics and post them as they like.
FB has known it was an issue for years and has not addressed... might get them in a sticky situation soon
