I agree with this line of thought. Especially since this movie was made under the direct influence of Disney himself, who from what I know was a decent Christian man who loved his family and held high moral standards for his movies. I've read at least two biographies on him and this doesn't fit him in any way. He was anti-hollywood, didn't mix in with the fashionable communist crowd that was prevalent at the time, was friends with Reagan before he was president, and consistently rejected attempts to make raunchy (for the time) 'adult' cartoons like Betty Boop and others. The company took a sharp turn downward after he died and is nothing like he would have imagined now. This might not be a popular opinion here, but worth sharing for anyone who doesn't know. Current Disney IS sick, but the old Disney was not.
