Aside from the basics (food, water, guns gold, ammo salt sugar spices alcohol extra fuel, jennie, etc) one thing many overlook is KNOWLEDGE.
I have books and even binders of printed pages on how to do/build just about anything. Plus books on "When there is no doctor/dentist". And guides to local edible plants.
Plus a lot of herbs/essential oils are actually really helpful in your first aid kit. Cayenne clots up a deep wound fast and clean, oregano is a natural antiobiotic and more, plus many oils are used for various ailments, disinfection, bug reppellent, etc.

I agree, knowledge but also skills, start practicing some of that knowledge now and turn it into skills, that will be useful to your local community.
