Vaccines are the only thing that are going to get everything reopened. The government has no incentive to give you your rights back, but with a vaccine available for people that want it, other citizens aren't going to let this last indefinitely.

Its dumb, but thats politics. If he completely opposed it, they would lock everything down harder and blame him for it the whole way.
