Dershowitz defended Trump as well. There have been hit pieces on Dersh.
He also defended Trump at his first impeachment.
He is a lawyer, and as a lawyer, he will take whatever client is willing to pay them. In general, this is a double edged sword. On the one hand, guilty people can get good representation, but in a free market, can we deny them that right. On the other hand, it is also possible for innocent people who are being setup to also get good representation and hopefully be able to successfully defend themselves against bogus chargers.
More importantly, as someone who openly stated that they voted for Hillary Clinton and being a prominent Democrat, he seems to have gotten red-pilled lately. Here is just 2 example of positions he holds that almost no democrats or rinos hold officially now:
He thought that Trump should have been able to succeed on his election lawsuits. Thought it was the wrong decision for the Supreme court to pass on the Texas election case.
He said that if he had been asked, he would have refused to take on Trump's second impeachment trial because, and I paraphrase, it was a clearly un-constitutional joke that he would not even lend legitimacy to by taking part in it in any way.
We can use him as an example of a very smart and accomplished Democrat who sees a lot of what we see and is willing to talk about it (election fraud, US government being a joke that does not follow the constitution).
With Cuomo and Whitmer seemingly in trouble, we may, hopefully, see more democrats see our point of view as legitimate as the absurdity of the political establishment becomes clearer.
When these vaccines start killing them, maybe that will wake a bunch of them up.
Some of them are already slowly waking up. It might not be at the rate we'd like, but we have to be patient. Xiden's crazy antics are helping us.
The biggest problem to waking them up is their trust of the media. The facts are there and smart people who do their own research (whether republican or democrat or other) can get at them. However, for the sleeping masses who completely trust the media or are just too lazy to do their own research, they have to be awakened some other way. Maybe it's up to us, those who are awake, to chip away at them slowly.
On the plus side, those who blindly trust the media are, in my opinion, a minority in America at this point. They are still probably a sizeable minority, but a minority nonetheless. And this is not something I believe was the case 10 or even 5 years ago. Momentum is in our favor.
However, that's not to say things are going to move as quickly as we want towards properly fixing America and the World. It's also not to say that things are not going to get worse before they get better (they most likely will get worse before they get better). However, there is a silver lining for things getting worse: more people waking. And once people wake up, they almost never go back to sleep. On the other hand, the asleep can always awakened (most of them, there is probably 10-20% that will never wake up, no matter what).
