Lots of my friends and family never understood why we chose for myself to stay home with our kids. The endless excuses of stress, and "I can't stay home with my kids they would drive me nuts" well maybe you shouldn't have had kids. It is not someone else's responsibility to raise your children, that's why the world is so fucked right now. All these brainwashed, snowflake, dipshits, voting. Make sacrifices, make it work, raise your own children! Bring the family back!
Agreed!
I got SO. MUCH. GRIEF. for staying home with our children! So much! And I was treated to a lot of sly denigration as well, as if choosing to be stay at home mom somehow made me a less valuable person. SMDH.
I postulate that staying at home with my children, making them a priority, teaching them right from wrong, giving them stability and a loving environment to learn to be responsible humans is WAY MORE IMPORTANT than a few lost years of career-fulfillment.
But what do I know? I'm an out of touch stay-at-home-mom. Ugh.
Don't forget the "so what do you do all day?" Like they picture us sitting on the couch watching soaps and eating bon bons. Hubs said for now on I should respond "so you go to work? Yuck!" Haha big hugs to all you SAHM and SAHD!
Oh, yes! Bonbons and soap operas all day, every day! (I'm not even sure what a bonbon is - a candy of some sort, I think - and I saw a soap opera once when I was a pre-teen. Not even sure they're a thing anymore. LOL)
