That's what I thought of. They are no longer of value, so they are being systematically catalogued for future action.

I find it interesting that while Trump was in office the Dems allowed rioting to go on and officers ordered to stand down. Now that fake Biden is in office they’re cracking down?
Biden is not cracking down. Liberal Portland politicians, including Wheeler, decimated and tied the hands of the local police. Their weapons were confiscated and they were supposed to fight insurrection without them. This maneuver of settling and taking down the rioters swift should be considered proof that Law and Order are back in town. It ain't brought to you by the liberals or by Biden's military (he has no military). This is brought to you courtesy of those running the show.
In NYC, BLM and Antifa riots are being shut down in minutes, not hours. Would you obviously even consider giving Warren Wilhelm, Jr., (a/k/a de Blasio) credit for that? No. These officers have to have been given back the dignity of their office and the weapons with which to maintain Law and Order.
Someone stated in an earlier post that the guns used by authorities earlier in Portland were fake. I disagree. No law enforcement or military troop would show up to a dangerous situation with a fake gun. When they show up and have the guns, the assumption better be that they'll use them. They don't threaten. They react. If one "fake" gun was discovered, they'd have been overrun by the cockroaches. Not. Gonna. Happen.
