I am in a mask mandated state, in a suburban area that is very compliant.
I have been having some work done on my house for a month. Every time a worker comes in they have a mask, and every time I tell them they don't need to wear it unless they want to at my house. Some immediately take it off and smile, others keep it on. Today I am happy to say there are 5 guys from 3 different companies in my house, 3 of whom kept the mask on in previous visits, Not one guy is wearing a mask today, all in the same room. It is a glorious site to see.
My wife thought I was annoying people by saying something every time. I thought I might be annoying them too, but kept doing it. And now I have seen these great results.
Same, I had an appointment last week and as I entered the receptionist was fumbling to put her mask on. I said no need to do so on my part as I did not have one on. She immediately removed it and seemed relieved.
nice, around here in parking lots for grocery stores a high % wear them. My brother picks them up to go so he doesn't have to deal with it, he says he gets happy just seeing someone wait till the last second before entering the store to put one on or taking it off the second you leave the store.
This needs to end, it is beyond ridiculous.
Oh my gosh yes! I was in the grocery store parking lot today, maybe 20ft away, when an elderly lady smiled and said "I like your mask". Of course I didn't have one on yet, I would typically put one on in the store because I get anxiety over being confronted. But that gave me courage, so when I walked inside, the worker behind two giant signs that said "mask required" asked if I wanted a mask. I just said no thank you and kept walking. I was literally the only maskless person in the store.
This was the first situation that made me look around and realize people get out of the car and put one on right away. Insanity.
wow nice job going maskless solo in the store I havent done that yet. My wife does the shopping now. I havent bern inside a store since June.
Thank you!
