From the article: (In the Philadelphia Doctorate Course lectures taped in 1952, Hubbard discusses occult magic of the middle ages, and recommends a current book – “it’s fascinating work in itself, and that’s work written by Aleister Crowley, the late Aleister Crowley, my very good friend.” (3) The book recommended was The Master Therion.)
If I didn’t care for someone, I wouldn’t call them my very good friend, even if I was blowing smoke.
Good points. Cult leaders fascinate me. It’s interesting to see why people are so drawn to them, and the lengths they go to in order to keep the charade going. Also interesting to see how their followers behave when the skeletons come tumbling out of closets.
Yeah, the Shelly thing is super weird. Last seen in 2007. PR line - she’s fine and happy.
Do you know much about (A Course in Miracles?) I read it in 08, and thought it made a lot of sense, but later found out author (Bill Thetford) had Cia / Mkultra ties, so I dumped it.
