After spending 8 years feeding the beast? Easy to give this speech with one foot out the door. If Eisenhower had done something to "drain the swamp" of all the literal Nazis that Truman brought in, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now. And don't get me started on the Dulles brothers and the Kennedy assassination.
