My understanding is that they are investing in hardware to be able to automate every part of the process, from extracting the raw materials and processing them, to printing the house, using techniques which require minimal power that can come from solar panels.
So once fully automated with production ramped up, the cost of actually producing a house would essentially be $0. That obviously doesn't count the
man hours of setting up and monitoring the equipment, or the upfront costs for the hardware, engineers for R&D, or upkeep of the equipment.
I was involved in these type of things before. The concepts is like cocaine to the people who fund these ideas. This company will get Funding from multinational non profits, the UN, etc and then it will disappear without products. It is big business, everyone is busy pulling cash from these scam jobs.
