Bishop Lawrence Persico of Erie, Pennsylvania announced on December 17, 2019 began the case for sainthood of Auguste “Nonco” Pelafigue. Pelafigue was born Jan. 10, 1888, near Lourdes, France. His family emigrated to Arnaudville, Louisiana, in 1889.

Evergreen - a blog entry from a dam visitor.

And here we are. The views here are very beautiful. Most of the trees are evergreen. However, some of them are deciduous, and as we are in the middle of Autumn, their leaves are turning golden yellow.

It's hard to tell but the southbound vessels may be backing up behind the AGIA MARINA in the one way section. Something may be unfolding.

This is the view downstream from the dam. You can see some sort of access panel. Next time I visit I shall have to explore that in a bit more details. It is also worth noting that the area is well tended. The scrub has been cut back and their are signs of trees being felled.

The Morrow Point Dam was the first one built by the Bureau of Reclamation. It's used for Hydro Electricity and Irrigation. The Bureau is the largest wholesaler of water in the country. This would be a very significant to dam to break to awaken the masses.

On the far side of the dam you can see the overflow. I wonder what that ladder is for? There is nothing over there.

The traffic is starting to move again in the canal. I think the isolated vessels were the message. Just a guess, but it won't hurt to keep an eye on things.

Steep stairs from the dam hut down to the wall. Probably had a cellar. It's a pity they didn't explore around the empty bus.
