I think the motive for defunding police might be to more easily usher in androids, and drones, as well as increased surveillance of everyone.
The Sheeple who can't flee the areas with no police will beg for technological solutions, and those solutions are ready to go.

Biden just took off the label of us recognizing a group in Yemen as a terrorist organization they inspire and even fund groups like ISIS because they are useful chaos. Biden wants to arm terrorist in the Middle East but dear law abiding citizens in the USA. He also just appointed some FEMA positions so I would not be surprised if they make some more moves domestically next week.
