Shopped in San Diego County at See's Candy, Home Depot, and Walmart. Did not wear a mask and was not confronted by anyone. At Walmart, I tried to get a person whose mask said, "I hate my mask," to take off his mask. He said he worked at Walmart and so, though he wanted to, he couldn't remove it. Saw two other people in Walmart without masks.

At my Wal-Mart they have someone at the door who makes sure people have masks on. I've taken mine off once inside and no one has said anything.
Same here for the walmart, I just walk directly to her and say I have health issue and I go on in. Only one time the woman(a different one) looked confused so I told her they usually call someone about it on their walkie talkie, she also said ok then. No customers bother me. I do have an anxiety problem and start to shake and sweat very profusely after about 10 minutes so it legit. The first time I took mine off was after a Dr. behind me in line tore my mask off, I was sitting on the floor at this point. I started getting better almost immediately. I do have a shield for the places that don't care that I have to go to.
Sorry to hear of yout health complications. I also suffer anxiety but a much more mild form than you. I just got back from WalMert and I just wore my mask under my chin the time. Baby steps, I guess.
