There are standard N95 masks and surgical N95 masks.

Only difference is the surgical is fda approved for surgery and is fluid resistant.

So that basically says the regular n95 is useless against the droplets everybody is paranoid about.

My N95 is a thin cotton cloth that is 100% less effective than an actual N95. And is worn for maybe 10mins a day when I have to be in view of my dictator VP of Opperations

I think a "respirator" is a device which provides it's own (clean) air supply, whereas a mask is just filters the surrounding air....
