If you find a church that works for you, and you feel like donating to them because they have helped you, great. If you go to a church and just want to show up and never donate, great. If you leave feeling like a better human, more power to you. My experience at my church has been uplifting and satisfying. It's a very personal experience. I go when I feel like getting a better understanding of scripture or when I need to hear someone "decode" scripture for me to improve my life. Sure there are pastors who are getting you more emotionally involved. They want you there to support the church. But it is give-and-take. A lot of times it feels like group therapy. And it's your choice to go or not to go. I see no harm in it
Well said. Im not trying to deter anyone from worshipping the way want. I was wanting to bring attention to the tactics that are being used. Just like when watching t.v. they use graphics, symbolism, ect. to program us, but if you are made aware of these tactics they have less of an effect on their programing. I know there are well meaning people out there, but I think they are following ancient rituals and are not aware of the implications. I think some religious heads aren't even aware of what they are orchestrating. I also see no harm in it, as long as you are aware of the priming.
