He asked General Flynn how he's doing twice at the beginning - didn't listen to Gen Flynn's answer and just robotically responded to Gen Flynn's "How's life?". And then at the end when he got no reaction out of General Flynn or anybody after calling Q "fucking stupid" he uncomfortably tries to talk his way out of it to literally nobody but himself.
