Last time I checked, the pipeline affects the east coast... and where is AZ again? Oh yeah - the western US... basic geography for the win.

So why would the auditors in AZ be "unable to show up" to continue their audit?

Yeah, but Georgia and Pennsylvania and who knows where else may be the next "domino". If nothing else, it's a huge distraction.

I get what you're pointing out, however geographic location has little to do with scarcity panic- other than proximity to "ground zero".

Ex: If the supply of toilet paper were gone on the east side, would the west coast experience shortages as well?
