Symbolsanon has decoded cicadas are a symbolism comm related to new people figuring out their way in the comms world.

She might be signaling that she herself is new, but she's cooking them...

Cooking relates to putting pressure on someone. They're pressuring new people, maybe who have gotten cold feet?
