At work last night. Lady who oversees the care of one of my individuals comes by to see said individual.
I stopped her at the door to take her temp because “I have to”.
I told her “Sorry I have to in case you’re one of those who are afraid of it”
This woman looks at me and says “Oh no it’s okay. I’ve had my shots”
She must have thought I was laughing with her as I took her temp to tell her she’s not special, and not at her, but I was most certainly laughing at her. First of all , those shots don’t work. Secondly, if I ever say “I’ve had my shots” like I’m a dog and my papers are up to date, please just shoot me ?
I had a great experience today: the "checkout chick" asked me if I signed in for COVID when entering the store... and I lied and said, "Yes, even though COVID is a hoax. Did you know that COVID has "cured" everyone dying of the seasonal sniffles and pneumonia?", and she responded, "yes because even if you die from being eaten by a shark, that still counts as a COVID death".
I replied, "'Makes me wonder how many other holocaust hoaxes they are lying to us about" and she said, "God bless you".

Have you ever heard of the “dark forest” theory regarding space? The theory basically goes that the universe is like a dark forest, and there is other life out there but everyone is silent due to fear of other, possibly more advanced civilizations finding them and annihilating them for their resources.

If extraterrestrials have free will then I expect 1% of %1 to have the "fuck you" gene.
The whole that I see in the theory is that any civilization who is advanced enough to be space faring would likely be peaceful. Can’t attain that level of advancement while being bogged down with war and disagreement
