The BONNETS on the clams. The mother who says not to be fooled, YET LETS HER BABIES GO with the pied piper.
Was Walt using symbolism to SHOW the world and EXPOSE the evil, or bc he was paying homage to evil? I really dont know. Im going to be honest I LOVE DISNEYLAND OK? And in my heart of hearts I want at least the original intent to be good. But I know it may be dark. Thats sad.
Anyway, this scene speaks loudly in realm of the horrors some believe to be true. SPOILER: they eat the clams.
That scene wasn't really Disney, but was based on the original Lewis Carroll poem, The Walrus and The Carpenter, if it helps: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Walrus_and_the_Carpenter
Thanks! I know it may not be popular opinion here but I honestly think WD was trying to expose evil. I saw a clip of a doc where he says how the walrus is like the pied piper. and I think its a fair assumption he saw a lot of kids lured into traps and may just have wanted to show it to open ppls minds to the possibility of secret evils that we'd not think about otherwise. And what gets me too is the mom! To me its calling out the parents who just let their kids go, knowingly. Thanks for the link
I am the walrus??
