There’s nothing mysterious about H10N1. The Influenza variant catalogue has been steadily advancing. That’s why I gave up my thirty year prejudice against influenza vaccination a few years ago.

The International Society for Infectious Diseases Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases daily reports on them.
