It's not just google, a whole bunch of tech companies in California seem to have adopted the same gender neutral narrative... Requiring employees to take courses on gender/racial bias, and removing gender/offensive terms from code.
Example phrases that are considered offensive now:
Dumbest shit Ive ever heard.
Wait sorry does that offend dumb people? How about its most not good thing I've ever heard.
Oh wait does that offend the people who spend their lives being jackassess? Sorry I guess I just can't ever judge anything cause it might offend someone.
Oh wait fuck them, I forgot I care about things more important than a weaklings feelings like the beauty of engineering.
There's another weird trend going on. When people greet themselves, they say, "hi my name is BlahBlah. my pronoun is he/his", or "my pronoun is they/their"..
I really dont get why this is gaining traction. It's annoying as hell and I feel like I'm in the minority for leaving out the pronoun part when I introduce myself.
I remember being told that “brain storming” was no good anymore and had to be replaced by “blue skying”. Something about the mentally handicapped people’s brains being incapable of “storming”.

One funny comment to all this is that people with offensive names (e.g. mandick) get dinged by the system all the time.
