The question I have is this, is there anything to replace it?
I have insurance through my work with a very high deductible, it's not Obamacare, but I know others who's job dont offer insurance what would happen for them?
It's not an easy solution. I went for decades with no insurance and I didn't and still dont qualify for Medical assistance.
There needs to be price regulations strictly imposed on all the medical and pharma communities.
ALL hospitals and clinics charge a much higher rate for the same visit if you have insurance.
Hospitals charge $10,$20,$100 for a pill that cost pennies. How many x-rays does it take to pay off a machine, and why are those machines used for years at the same price even after they have recouped the money long ago?
The AMA is the most powerful lobby there is, and they also happen to own the insurance companies who in turn own the hospitals and clinics.
I am self employed and the cost of my insurance tripled after Obamacare went into effect. You don’t need anything to replace it really as before Obamacare people who could not afford insurance just got Medicaid thru their state. All Obamacare did was enrich the insurance industry.
I didn't get Medicair through the state I was one of those that from through the cracks i had been without insurance for at least 30 years. I am fortunate to have benefits at my work now, I still have a 5000 deductible and it's still a crappy plan but it is what it is.
