If Lucifer = Morning Star then how do you explain,
Rev. 22:16
“It is I, Jesus, who sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
I don't think Lucifer and Satan are interchangeable, but according to this verse it seems either Jesus or David is Lucifer.
Where is this in the bible?
Can you give me a verse?
They are the same thing.
I strongly disagree with this article.
No where in Isaiah 14 is the name Satan used.
They use Lucifer and Satan as interchangeable, I don't believe they are.
Isaiah 14:12 clearly states that Lucifer has fallen from heaven and Isaiah 14:16&17 clearly states that Lucifer is a man. Satan is not a man he is an angel.
Isaiah 14 makes me think that Revelation 22:16 is referring to David as Lucifer and Jesus is a descendant of Lucifer. Isaiah is OT, therefore Jesus had not yet existed here on Earth, but David did.
Moreover,
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
2 Peter 1:19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
Isaiah 14 makes Lucifer out to be evil. Revelation 22, Job 38, and 2 Peter 1 make Lucifer out to be good. A clear contradiction. Satan is always depicted as evil in the bible. Satan and Lucifer are not interchangeable, they are not the same being.
