Have a look at the reviews! This app is installing itself without informing the user and does not even have an app tile. So you don't even know it is there unless you dig around Android.
For decades software that replicates, installs and hides without the users knowledge or permission was called a virus. And it was a criminal act to write and distribute these, even if it had an entirely benign function. Swat team raids were done on the authors of such software.
Are we now at the point where google is a crime group writing viruses while pretending to be a business, functioning entirely in the open?
How things change.
That is why, when you use an Android device, you must ALWAYS check it every 24 hours; remove every single non-essential application. You can easily root the device and remove the ones which the carrier makes "un-removeable". Also, by running a virus and malware scanner ap constantly, will assist.
Remember, owning and using an Android device is a complex task if you want privacy. While there is no way to make the device 100% secure outside of installing NSA-Grade encryption, you can at least be "pretty sure" that you are not being spied upon all the time, just part of the time.
By using practical OPSEC 24/7/365 (366 in Leap Year) you can be "pretty secure" .. Frens, there is no such thing as a free lunch and definitely no such thing as complete privacy or security.
The apps have titles, but it's different for every state/country/region. Search 'android exposure notification system' and follow the links to find out the app for where you live so you know what to search your phone for.
