Excellent podcast with the Author of the study here: COVID, Ivermectin, and the Crime of the Century: DarkHorse Podcast with Pierre Kory & Bret Weinstein - Bret Weinstein | DarkHorse Podcast, 2.5 hours

The reports of trouble with people trying to self-medicate with Ivermectin have to do with people getting the dose wrong, not any safety problem with Ivermectin.
