Just got word the US Army making covid vax mandatory in a few months (don't want to mention the date). Refusal to take it will result in dishonorable discharge, which can destroy any future career, etc. Any ideas, especially from those in the military? Asking for a friend.

Dishonorable discharge is considered a felony, impacting employment, getting loans, 2a rights, etc.
Word from who?
A trustworthy superior -- cannot be more specific.
You should consider moving them to a less trustworthy category....
I would speak with an attorney though if you consider it this credible.
