I suspect China won’t have anything that actually matters in the path of a dam. Even Three Gorges. There will probably be some kind of grift and distraction to come out of it. “Oh, we can’t hold China accountable for the virus because look at the dams! They’re in a crisis! Have you no heart?! Kumbayah and stuff.”
Well isn’t that convenient. It’ll sweep away all evidence, I’m sure. Nobody will save any records, because those can’t be conveniently moved. It’s all stuck to the ground, sure as any mountain. And, I mean nobody could have predicted a dam breaking.
Incidentally, I think the zombie outbreak in World War Z (the book) happened because of a virus lab in China being destroyed by a dam breaking.
I read elsewhere (sorry been while don't remember where) that there are many factories and villages that would be annihilated if that dam burst. So this could be a serious issue for clearly the Chinese people in it's way but also the global supply chain.
